DescriptionLocationInstructorsCancellation Policy Distressed Property Solutions ORRA Member Pricing: $10 Instructor: John Adams In today’s market there are new and varied means of financing distressed Properties - of which many consumers are unaware. This course will help Realtors® and consumers identify various types of distressed properties and understand the specific programs that are available to help them purchase distressed real estate while allowing for the renovations that will make the property habitable. At course completion, students will understand how they can offer FHA VA and/or conventional financing on virtually any property, regardless of condition, to allow more buyers to purchase homes that might previously have been out of reach due to lack of adequate financing that includes the necessary repairs, inspections, contractor bids, appraisals, etc. ATTENDANCE POLICY 1. CE credit will not be awarded if arrival and check-in are not complete by 1:15 p.m. No exceptions. Please allow adequate commute time. 2. Check in with ORRA staff and sign morning and afternoon attendance sheets. 3. FREC requires a licensee attend 90% of each of the classroom hours. Physical attendance is required for the duration of class. 4. Electronic note-taking is permitted on silent devices, only. Cell phone use is permitted during designated breaks. After graduating from Portland State University, John began his now over 12 year long career in the mortgage industry. He spent many years as the Area Manager for some of the largest banks in the nation, including Chase and Wells Fargo. He is a volunteer monitor for the North East Florida Association of Realtors and serves on their educational task force and the Realtor Political Action Committee. John received the “Affiliate of the Year” award in 2013 for his work with the board. He is also an active member of the Amelia Island Nassau County Association of Realtors. John has developed educational training for Realtor continuing education credits. He Teaches “Distressed Property Solutions” across the state of Florida to teach realtors how to use HUD 100, FHA 203(k), HomeStyle, HomePath and HomePath Renovation Loans to improve their communities for a 3 hour Continuing Education credit course approved by FREC.
