DescriptionLocationInstructorsCancellation Policy Core Law - Mandatory for License Renewal Credits: 3CE Member early-bird registration fee: $10 (until 02/27/24 @8:00am) Member Regular Registration: $15 Non-Members: $25 Instructor: Star Williams Location: in-person at ORRA ***This class fulfills the 3hr Law license requirement*** FREC's Playbook Updates Florida brokers and salespersons must take three hours of Core Law to fulfill the state's continuing education requirements for license renewal (14 hours total). Each year, the Florida Legislature passes and amends real estate laws. This class reviews recent changes to state and federal laws and rules. OBJECTIVES After taking this class students will be able to: •Identify the requirements by law regarding listing agreements. •Explain the differences between Independent Contractor and Employee status. •Describe the activities a licensed assistant may perform and those that an unlicensed assistant may not. ATTENDANCE POLICY 1. FREC requires that licensees attend 90% of instructional class time. Physical presence is required 2. CE credit will not be awarded to students who miss more than 15 minutes of instructional time. Please allow adequate commute time. No exceptions. 3. All students MUST sign-in and sign-out to receive CE credit. 4. Electronic note-taking is permitted on silent devices, only. Cell phone use is permitted during designated breaks. Her experience includes all aspects of Business and Brokerage Management, Sales, and Property Management. Possessing two Collegiate degrees in Business Management, she has trained new and seasoned associates for many years, Star is very passionate about helping others to build successful careers on a solidfoundation of basics and assist in implementing systems and tools to take their careers to the next level. Being on the front lines of the vastly changing markets over the years has enabled Star to bring relevance to the information she delivers in her classes. Her primary goal for each class is to inspire everyone who attends with enthusiasm in achieving their highest goals and providing them the best opportunity to learn something new that they can implement in their businesses and keep them moving forward to the realization of their Best Self. Before receiving licensure in 2000, Star was a Call Center Manager for a credit card company and taught Sunday School Classes at her Father’s church. She is currently a multiple licensed Florida Real Estate Broker of her own firms; an Instructor for Gold Coast Schools teaching Pre and Post Licensing and sits on the Grievance and Communications Committees at the Orlando Regional Realtors Association. Star enjoys having a hand in the successes of those she works with.
