This course covers the Code of Ethics that guides professional conduct, including how to identify and address unethical practices like fraud, discrimination, and misappropriation of client funds. Students will also learn their responsibility to report violations and take an active role in upholding the reputation of the real estate profession. Camera On Policy (Required for Credit) Participants must have their video on and remain visible on camera at all times. The use of still photos, icons, or avatars in place of live video is not permitted, except during scheduled breaks announced by the instructor. Live Streaming Live Streaming Gonzalo Mejia Gonzalo is originally from Lima, Peru where he studied Industrial Engineering, specializing in Finance and Accounting. Mejia moved to the United States in 2001 and started his real estate career in 2004 as a Sales Associate in Pensacola, FL. He obtained his Broker License in 2006. After moving to Jacksonville, FL in 2009 he joined Watson Realty Corp. He is the broker/manager of their San Marco office. Mejia also obtained his Real Estate Instructor License in 2013. He holds the following designations ABR, CIPS, CRS, GRI, TRC, and AHWD. During his real estate career Gonzalo, has successfully completed transactions with customers from several Latin American countries, Europe and Asia. He enjoys real estate and sharing his experiences with fellow Realtors. He also believes that having fun makes the process more enjoyable for everybody. Gonzalo has 20 years of experience as an instructor. Topics he has taught include real estate, math and physics, Spanish as a second language, technology and fitness. He has been a guest speaker at different REALTOR events to present about cultural diversity. Mejia also volunteers at the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors teaching Ethics, Fair Housing and Anti-trust at the monthly new member orientation.
