This course is a great opportunity to learn the importance of affordable home-ownership programs and which resources are available statewide to assist more Floridians purchase a home. A well-informed REALTOR® is the driving force that will help more potential first time home-buyers become homeowners.

Course topics include:
• Why REALTORS ® should understand & support affordable housing
• Home-ownership programs offered through Florida Housing, including down-payment & closing cost assistance and the MCC Program
• Other home-ownership resources available throughout Florida


ATTENDANCE POLICY
1. CE credit will not be awarded if arrival and check-in are not complete by 9:15 a.m. No exceptions. Please allow adequate commute time. 
2. Check in with ORRA staff and sign morning and afternoon attendance sheets.
3. FREC requires a licensee attend 90% of each of the classroom hours. Physical attendance is required for the duration of class. 
4. Electronic note-taking is permitted on silent devices, only. Cell phone use is permitted during designated breaks.  

CANCELLATION/NO-SHOWS

Charles "Chip" White
Chip joined Florida Housing Financial Corporation in January 2007 as the Single Family Programs Manager. He was promoted to his current position as Single Family Programs Administrator in June 2008. With a staff of three located in Tallahassee, Chip’s job is to promote and administer the state’s First Time Homebuyer Program. Prior to joining Florida Housing’s affordable housing team, Chip was a successful Realtor in Tallahassee, FL and has worked in the real estate, lending, and financial services industry in Florida for over 30 years.

Sandy Smith

Sandy Smith is the Single Family Programs Manager for the Florida Housing Finance Corporation.

She is a native Floridian who has achieved a career history in state government and private enterprise. Sandy joined Florida Housing Finance Corporation in January 2008 and is responsible for managing the First Time Homebuyer Program as well as conducting lender and Realtor training throughout the state.  Prior to joining Florida Housing’s affordable housing team, Sandy worked as an originator, specializing in affordable housing products. In 2007, she and her origination team originated over 300 first mortgage loans resulting in almost 40 million in production.  Her commitment to Florida Housing is evidenced with over 160 loans totaling over $20 million that same year.  Her knowledge is first hand, not theoretical.  Her mission is to help you succeed with bond and Florida Housing’s First Time Homebuyer Program
