Do you want to learn how to accurately price properties in a competitive market? You will be introduced to the concepts of appraisal versus a CMA, the general descriptions of each, as well as the legal obligations that an agent has in Florida with respect to a CMA (when it can be done, what disclaimers apply, etc.). If you want to learn how to read supply and demand in a market, calculate absorption rate and critically evaluate what comparable data is still germane, then this class is for you. The three-fold goal is to learn how to properly price property, avoid carrying listings for too long and to satisfy property owners! ATTENDANCE POLICY 1. CE credit will not be awarded if arrival and check-in are not complete by 9:20 a.m. No exceptions. Please allow adequate commute time. 2. Check in with ORRA staff and sign morning and afternoon attendance sheets. 3. FREC requires a licensee attend 90% of each of the classroom hours. Physical attendance is required for the duration of class. 4. Electronic note-taking is permitted on silent devices, only. Cell phone use is permitted during designated breaks. During her more than 15 year career in finance, she was chosen as the first female President of the Tallahassee Mortgage Bankers Association, served as Regional Governor for Florida Mortgage Bankers Association and was appointed to the Governor’s Commission on Affordable Housing. Patti is involved in the day to day challenges of running a successful real estate firm. She has been awarded the ‘Platinum Sales Award’ from the Tallahassee Board of Realtors, and the ‘Titanium Award’ from the Thomasville, Georgia Board of Realtors. In addition to actively marketing real estate Patti believes strongly in the power of staying sharp and giving back. In 2014 she served as the Vice Chair of the Professionalism Sub-Committee, the Faculty Sub-Committee, and the Faculty and Program Development Sub-Committee. Licensed as an Instructor in both Real Estate and Appraising, she has been in the classroom as both an Instructor and a student for years. A self-professed math phobic she especially enjoys making financing easy to understand for everyone. Patti has a deep love for this profession and brings a great sense of humor and balance to her classes.
