Code of Ethics - 5th Cycle Biennial Mandatory NAR Course for REALTORS®

*This class fulfills the 3 Hours of Ethics & Business Practices license requirement*

Every REALTOR® must complete the NAR Mandatory REALTOR® Code of Ethics Training once within each cycle. The 5th Cycle will run between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2018. REALTORS® who do not meet the requirement will have their REALTOR® status suspended on January 1, 2019. This is a nationwide requirement for all REALTORS®.

Code of Ethics training was established by NAR in order to:
• Create an awareness and appreciation for the role the code can and should play in REALTORS® professional lives.
• Enhance professionalism and competency
• Encourage REALTORS® to view their code of ethics as a living, viable guide in their daily dealings with clients, customers, and the public.


ATTENDANCE POLICY
1. CE credit will not be awarded if arrival and check-in are not complete by 9:15 a.m. No exceptions. Please allow adequate commute time. 
2. Check in with ORRA staff and sign morning and afternoon attendance sheets.
3. FREC requires a licensee attend 90% of each of the classroom hours. Physical attendance is required for the duration of class. 
4. Electronic note-taking is permitted on silent devices, only. Cell phone use is permitted during designated breaks.

CANCELLATION/NO-SHOWS
Cancellations not received within two (2) days prior to class start time will result in the forfeiture of the registration fee.  Cancellations can be made through ORRA’s Professional Development Department at 407.513.7268 or email at  education@orlandorealtors.org.

Chuck Bonamer

Chuck Bonamer (chuck@trans-equity.com) is the president of TRANS-EQUITY,Inc., Realtors®. His brokerage firm renders litigation support and lecture services to the brokerage and law industries. He was awarded the Instructor of the Year Award for At Home With DiversityK by the National Association of Realtors™ for 2016. He served as 2016 Chair of the Florida Realtors® Faculty and Program Development Subcommittee. He is the permit holder for the Florida Realtors® School of Real Estate.

Chuck is a former managing broker for Merrill Lynch Realty and author of a real estate management series used throughout the United States. He also authored the Louisiana mandatory brokerage management course required by every Louisiana broker. His real estate brokerage management policy manual is used by many Florida real estate brokerages.

Chuck's courses are consistently the top rated presentations at state conventions from Alaska to Puerto Rico, including the Florida Realtors Annual Conventions in Orlando. He writes and lectures in Florida, Washington, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, Louisiana, Alabama, South Carolina, Nevada, Wisconsin, New York, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Idaho and Alaska. He is also a Certified NationalAssociation of Realtors™ One AmericaK facilitator, sponsor and instructor for Train-the-Trainer sessions. He has written courses for the Louisiana Real Estate Commission and Louisiana Association of Realtors™ and GRI courses for many states, including Florida.

Chuck, past-president of the Florida Real Estate Educators Association, chaired the Professional Standards Committee, Grievance Committee and the Professional Development Forum.
